Is there any file or piece of code in control of the settlement menu management? If so, just point me in the right direction and I will personally slice it to pieces. It's almost like a file that controls the hud and the settlement menu has become read only then jumped ship or the game is stuck default mode. After doing a clean install, they all stopped.
Before I did this, settlement mods that I had enabled before a certain time frame (my trip overseas last year) worked fine. I've followed everything listed in the troubleshooting book, even went as far as to re-install everything that is associated with the game (including nmm). If I can't mod them, then suddenly the game looses it's only redeeming characteristic.
So my problem at its simplest is the mods that change the hud or the settlement menu in some way don't work.Įverything else works fine, but I play for the settlements. Workshop mods cant install for some reason ("operation could not be completed"). Its almost like some file somwhere in charge of HUD and settlement menus has decided that now is the best possible time to become read only and hide in some dark corner of my computer.Īny ideas? This unfourtunatley didnt do anything, so I just re-installed fallout back onto my c drive. So I did what any logical person would do when this happened painstakingly go through my entire modlist painstakingly turning each mod off and on in search of a cause. After doing this, I discovered I could not add new mods to the game at all. It wasnt an issue until I decided to move the game to my portable hardrive so I could take it overseas with me.
I have been having an issue with my version for fallout 4 for a little while now it doesnt register new mods.
